A practical, zero-fluff curriculum for anyone who wants to build a career as a professional Virtual Assistant. By Week 6, students have a live client portfolio, a polished personal brand, real tools experience, and the confidence to take on paying clients — remotely.
Highlights
Students fully configure their Google Workspace, install all core tools, and produce a one-page "VA Identity Document" — their chosen niche, target client type, and the 3 core services they will offer. This becomes the seed of their portfolio.
Students receive a simulated client brief with 10 real-world admin tasks: clearing an inbox with 40 emails, scheduling a week of meetings, creating a team folder structure, writing a meeting recap, and building a contact tracker in Google Sheets.
Students pick a fictional client — a local business, a coach, or an e-commerce brand — and create a full 30-day content plan: 20 captions written, 6 graphics designed in Canva, a scheduling queue set up in Buffer, and a one-page performance report template.
Students research 20 qualified leads for a fictional coaching business — role, company, LinkedIn URL, and email — enter them into a Notion or HubSpot CRM, tag each lead by status, and write a one-page research brief explaining the target audience and sourcing method.
Students build a mini client onboarding system: a Typeform intake form, a Zapier automation that sends form responses to a Google Sheet and creates a Trello card, and a Loom video walking the fictional client through the entire system.
Students build and publish everything a real client would see before hiring them: a portfolio site, a services menu, a client proposal, a sample contract, and a complete onboarding kit. They also write 3 cold outreach messages and submit one real application on Upwork or Fiverr.
A live portfolio URL is required to complete the course.

Every week produces real, shareable deliverables — not theory. Students build the muscle of working like a professional VA before they ever send a proposal.
Admin, social media, research, automation, and AI tools are the five most in-demand VA skill sets in 2026. All five are addressed in dedicated weeks.
Pricing, positioning, platform strategy (Upwork, Fiverr), and international client acquisition are woven into the capstone — not treated as an afterthought.
The capstone goes beyond a portfolio — students leave with a contract, a proposal, a welcome kit, and a live profile on a freelance platform. The course ends where income begins.
